The Washington Center is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an international visiting scholar January 14 – February 14.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wajeehah Aayeshah (she\/her) is a Lecturer in Curriculum Design at the Arts Teaching Innovation (ATI),\u00a0University of Melbourne. An academic geek, she develops meaningful learning experiences\u00a0and investigates co-creation of teaching and learning. Her research explores designing safe<\/p>\n

pedagogical spaces that are inclusive, interesting, and kind. Her current project ‘kindness in\u00a0pedagogy’ explores kind academic practices. These include engaging ‘Students as Partners’,\u00a0\u2018joyful teaching\u2019, and creating \u2018equity-driven academic culture\u2019. She also collaborates with\u00a0artists and game designers to produce creative narratives. Her interdisciplinary publications\u00a0range from research articles, book chapters, to short stories and games.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The Learning and Teaching Commons is currently seeking opportunities for Wajeehah to engage with our faculty, staff, and students. If you are interested in collaborating on a project or having Wajeehah visit your program, please contact\u00a0learningandteaching@evergreen.edu<\/a>.
