Happy Spring, All! This Resources and Reminders includes upcoming deadlines, a few syllabi recommendations for spring, and a look ahead to upcoming events on the horizon.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPCOMING DEADLINES<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluations from winter<\/strong> quarter are due April 2, 2022. Big thanks to all of you who have already submitted winter evaluations!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration Tracking Forms <\/strong>Be sure to return your Week 1 tracking forms (accessible from the Faculty section of my.evergreen.edu<\/a> under “Class Lists and Evaluations”) to the Registrar\u2019s office by the end of Week 1. Directions on how to find the form and how to return the form are available on our faculty help wiki: https:\/\/helpwiki.evergreen.edu\/wiki\/index.php\/Class_Lists_for_Faculty<\/a>. Knowing which students listed are not attending your <\/em>program or course is very important for  Registration and Financial Aid. An oversight at this early stage might mean entering a [false] “no credit” for those students later, which can have major consequences for them. If students are adding your program or course be sure they know they must  through the Registrar’s Office.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for adding or dropping a program or course without additional fees is Friday, April 1, as the tuition deadline. Students can still add, with faculty permission, next week but fees may apply and tuition will need to be paid in full prior to adding the registration.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planning 2022-23:<\/strong> A reminder that fall 2022 catalog revisions, budget and space requests are due March 31, 2022. Please see email from Abir on 3\/22\/22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPRING SYLLABI RECOMMENDATIONS<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you finalize your spring syllabi, please include the following language for our covid policies: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.\u00a0Covid\u00a0policies<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health and Well-Being are central to student success, and at Evergreen we are committed to creating and maintaining a learning and working environment that is healthy, accessible, and equitable.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evergreen has adopted a vaccination requirement<\/a> to ensure maximum opportunities are available on campus as conditions allow.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vaccine Requirement. <\/strong>All students, faculty, and staff who come to campus are required to be vaccinated (or have an approved medical or religious exemption on file). Students and employees with an approved exemption and accommodation must always follow the guidelines of that accommodation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mask Requirement.<\/strong> Evergreen has suspended its mask requirement. Though not required, mask-wearing is optional and encouraged. Students, staff, and faculty will have different levels of comfort in wearing masks, and we should all endeavor to foster an ethic of care, consideration and acceptance in our learning community.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any program\/class member who feels ill<\/strong> with headache, excessive fatigue, fever, coughing, congestion, or other symptoms should stay home, notify the faculty, and submit a Health Verification Form (in my.evergreen).  Faculty will provide you with guidance on continuing your academic work and the College\u2019s COVID team will provide direction on managing your health risks.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have questions or concerns please contact your faculty. If you wish to report a covid safety issue contact covid@evergreen.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Penelope Partridge at the Basic Needs Center reports that funds are available for housing support for students. Possible syllabus language might be: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evergreen understands that a good home is a foundation for good health and a solid education. Support is available for students who are facing housing insecurity. This includes anything from: not being able to make rent, seeking better housing due to discrimination in the home, or needing a home that is free from environmental allergens, etc., as well as support for students who are currently unsheltered or living in vehicles. Funds may be available. If you need support, please email ARCbasicneeds@evergreen.edu<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ON THE HORIZON<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Fair: <\/strong>Wednesday, May 11 from 4-6pm.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Statements: <\/strong>Annual Academic Statements are due on May 13; for seniors graduating in spring, the final transcript-ready version is due June 10. For more information, please see: https:\/\/www.evergreen.edu\/academicstatement\/requirements-and-deadlines<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer Institutes: <\/strong>Thanks to all of you who submitted amazing proposals for 2022 Summer Institutes!   This summer\u2019s program offers opportunities to build community, improve our practice, and engage in meaningful conversations about student success. The Commons will again be sponsoring a conference-style institute, Designing Learning Experiences that Matter, that merges intentional and universal design approaches to program and course planning with a variety optional workshops. The institute will be offered twice this summer, June 13-17 and Aug 15-17.  Registration for summer institutes will be open from May 1-June 8.  Look for an announcement with additional details from the Learning and Teaching Commons to arrive in your email inbox in early April. <\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
