We want the messaging to be consistent with our broader Covid messaging. Please post this visibly, go over it carefully, and potentially repeat it regularly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Covid Policy Statement for Syllabi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health and Well-Being are central to student success, and at Evergreen we are committed to creating and maintaining a learning and working environment that is healthy, accessible, and equitable.&nbsp;Evergreen has adopted&nbsp;a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsites.evergreen.edu%2Fcovid19%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F575%2F2021%2F08%2FCommunity-Ready-Vaccine-Policy-Students.pdf&amp;data=04%7C01%7Cwilliaas%40evergreen.edu%7C6acc482ba62e41a2bd5d08d97951226b%7C22adcff7c06f49a68f2050711c40ddaa%7C0%7C0%7C637674211704656378%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&amp;sdata=ecUdDb3fVz28ZMT6POqgYfPye3EVAHVbiyLt0KyzA8Y%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vaccination requirement<\/a>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsites.evergreen.edu%2Fcovid19%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F575%2F2021%2F08%2FFinal-August-27-2021-COVID-19-face-cover-policy-.pdf&amp;data=04%7C01%7Cwilliaas%40evergreen.edu%7C6acc482ba62e41a2bd5d08d97951226b%7C22adcff7c06f49a68f2050711c40ddaa%7C0%7C0%7C637674211704656378%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&amp;sdata=Cpg2LbE%2BHMI2s%2BMvQLpXL%2B9bRPuDIqj5K2wQUf4VG3Y%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">masking requirement<\/a>&nbsp;to ensure maximum opportunities are available on campus as conditions allow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vaccine Requirement.&nbsp;<\/strong>All students, faculty, and staff who come to campus are required to be vaccinated (or have an approved&nbsp;medical or religious exemption on file).&nbsp;Students&nbsp;and employees&nbsp;with an&nbsp;approved exemption and accommodation must always follow the guidelines of that accommodation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mask Requirement.<\/strong>&nbsp;Students, faculty and staff are currently required to&nbsp;wear masks in all buildings regardless of vaccination status.&nbsp;This includes all public and common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairways, restrooms, elevators, and in shared vehicles.&nbsp;If you do not have a mask,&nbsp;dispensers are available at building entrances.&nbsp;For the purposes of this policy, a face covering must:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fit snugly against the sides of the face&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Completely cover the nose and mouth&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Be secured with ties, ear loops, elastic bands, or other equally effective methods&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Include at least two layers of material&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Allow for breathing without restriction&nbsp;<\/li><li>Be a disposable medical mask, N95 or KN95 mask, or capable of being laundered and&nbsp;machine dried&nbsp;without damage or change to shape (if made with fabric)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Be free of holes, tears or valves that have the potential to release respiratory droplets.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are required to&nbsp;follow this policy at all times&nbsp;when onsite or when participating in in-person activity, including following any posted requirements in specific buildings and spaces. If a student refuses to comply with the policy, the student will be asked to leave the space and a report will be submitted to the Evergreen COVID-19 health and safety team, which will work with Evergreen\u2019s compliance team. The compliance team has the authority to take immediate action to reduce risk to others on campus.&nbsp;Anyone not complying is not to return to campus until they have successfully engaged with the compliance team and are permitted to return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safety Training.<\/strong>&nbsp;All faculty, staff, and students are required to complete Evergreen\u2019s safety training&nbsp;by October 1, 2021.&nbsp;It may be&nbsp;found at my.evergreen.edu.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any program\/class member who feels ill<\/strong>&nbsp;(with headache, excessive fatigue, fever, coughing, congestion, or other symptoms) should stay home, notify the faculty, and submit a Health Verification Form (in&nbsp;my.evergreen).
