Hello\nFaculty- <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is another reminder to\nplease turn in your academic fair materials and zoom link as soon as possible (Complete this form<\/a>)- we have had very few\nsubmissions for the fair only being a few days away! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic\nFair for both Summer AND Fall quarters is coming up quicker than you might\nrealize! \nPlease make sure you have Wednesday, May 19<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> from\n4 to 6 pm on your calendars. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you\nprobably anticipated, the Academic Fair will once again be held in a\nvirtual\/online\/Zoom environment.  We\nare following the same setup as the last two quarters.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty\nwill set up their own zoom meetings for the fair<\/strong>.\nOur friends in academic technologies have been nice enough to put together a\nguide to help you quickly set up your meetings with the settings that are most\nappropriate for this type of event.\nFaculty should not set up a meeting using Canvas<\/strong>– this meeting type does not work\nfor public events. If you need direction on how to set it up outside of Canvas,\nplease see:  Schedule\na Zoom Meeting via the Web Portal<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those\nzoom links, as well as your fair handouts, will be provided to students on this\npage<\/a>.\nLinks will also be available to the other offices and support services students\nare accustomed to finding at the fair.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty\nneed you to take steps 1-3 on the list below by Wednesday, May 12<\/strong>th  <\/strong> to have everything in place\nbefore the fair the following week.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create a fair handout for each of\n your offerings <\/li>
  2. Create your Zoom link.\n See:  Schedule\n a Zoom Meeting via the Web Portal<\/a>* <\/li>
  3. Complete this form<\/a> for\n each offering you want to display in the online fair guide (if you have\n more than one in winter please make sure to fill it out for each\n offering).  <\/li>
  4. Show up to your zoom meeting\n and help students! <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    *we have\nheard from some faculty that individual\nrooms can be lonely when there aren\u2019t many students stopping in. Please know\nthat you are welcome to arrange with your colleagues to share a zoom room and\nmove in to break out rooms to have discussions with students. We can\u2019t offer any room\nmanagement support if you do this, but it is an option. Just make sure everyone\nputs the same zoom link on the form. Please\ndo not leave the room you have on the form to visit colleagues in other rooms!<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you\nencounter an issue on the day of that\nmakes your meeting unable to continue, please go to the registration zoom\nmeeting and let them know. The zoom link to registration will be available at https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/academicfair\/<\/a> .   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
