Academic\nFair for both Summer AND Fall quarters is coming up quicker than you might\nrealize! \nPlease make sure you have Wednesday, May 19<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> from\n4 to 6 pm on your calendars. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you\nprobably anticipated, the Academic Fair will once again be held in a virtual\/online\/Zoom\nenvironment.  We are following the same setup as the last two\nquarters.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty\nwill set up their own zoom meetings for the fair<\/strong>.\nOur friends in academic technologies have been nice enough to put together a\nguide to help you quickly set up your meetings with the settings that are most\nappropriate for this type of event. Faculty should not set up a meeting using Canvas<\/strong>– this meeting type does not work for public events.\nIf you need direction on how to set it up outside of Canvas, please see:  Schedule a Zoom\nMeeting via the Web Portal<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those\nzoom links, as well as your fair handouts, will be provided to students on this page<\/a>. Links\nwill also be available to the other offices and support services students are\naccustomed to finding at the fair.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty\nneed you to take steps 1-3 on the list below by Wednesday, <\/strong>May 12<\/strong>th  <\/sup><\/strong> to have everything in place\nbefore the fair the following week.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create a fair handout for each of your offerings <\/li>
  2. Create\n your Zoom link. See:  Schedule a\n Zoom Meeting via the Web Portal<\/a>* <\/li>
  3. Complete\n this form<\/a> for each offering you want\n to display in the online fair guide (if you have more than one in winter\n please make sure to fill it out for each offering).  <\/li>
  4. OPTIONAL: Is this your first virtual (or any!) Academic\n Fair and are curious how the process works? Have questions about the form? Pop in to ask questions of Registration &\n Records and Deans Area staff. Tuesday, May 11th<\/sup> from\n 4-5pm.   5. Show\n up to your zoom meeting and help students! <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    *we have\nheard from <\/em>some faculty that individual rooms can be lonely when\nthere aren\u2019t many students stopping in. Please know that you are welcome to\narrange with your colleagues to share a zoom room and move in to break out\nrooms to have discussions with students. We can\u2019t offer any room management support if you do\nthis, but it is an option. Just make sure everyone puts the same zoom link on\nthe form. Please\ndo not leave the room you have on the form to visit colleagues in other rooms!<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you\nencounter an issue on the day of that makes your meeting\nunable to continue, please go to the registration zoom meeting and let them\nknow. The zoom link to registration will be available at https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/academicfair\/<\/a> .   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
