In case we\u2019ve not met, my\nname is Correan Barker and I work in Advancement as the Associate Director of\nEvents, Alumni and Donor Relations. Each year Advancement and the Foundation\nhosts a gala called the Art of Giving to raise funds for the Evergreen Scholarship\nFund which creates transformational scholarships for our students.&nbsp;In lieu\nof gathering in person this year, on March 15 The Evergreen State College\nFoundation launched an ambitious, six-week Art of Giving Scholarship Drive to\nraise $200,000 benefiting the Evergreen Scholarship Fund.<strong>&nbsp;So far with the help of alumni, donors and\nfriends we&#8217;ve raised $189,016!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We invite you to join us for a&nbsp;free virtual Art of Giving event on Saturday, April\n24, 2021, from 11 a.m. &#8211; 12 p.m. (PDT) celebrating our&nbsp;remarkable\nstudents and the conclusion of the scholarship drive.&nbsp;<\/strong>You\ncan<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.evergreen.edu%2Fgive%2Fvirtual-art-giving-2021&amp;data=04%7C01%7Cwilliaas%40evergreen.edu%7C9fdbb880a72d49cbc4c208d900f34335%7C22adcff7c06f49a68f2050711c40ddaa%7C0%7C0%7C637541867134279466%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&amp;sdata=lObM0MGUkPMx86Ec8TeBFr6d2%2FyipOKN6GEWzTBhHyA%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>register\nfor the event online<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and\nwe encourage sharing this opportunity&nbsp;with your colleagues and\nfriends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, you&#8217;ll hear from this\nyear&#8217;s Art of Giving student keynote speaker&nbsp;<strong>Parris Miller &#8217;22<\/strong>. Now\na junior enrolled in Evergreen\u2019s Tacoma Program, Parris is pursuing a\nbachelor\u2019s degree with an emphasis in Public Administration.&nbsp;You&#8217;ll be\ninspired by Parris\u2019 accomplishments, his service to community, and his\naspirations for the future!
