Black\nimmigrants are 3 times more likely to be detained or deported on an ALLEGED\ncriminal offense. According to the ACLU<\/a>, Black\npeople make up 7% of the non-citizen population in the United States, but make\nup 20% of immigrants fighting deportation. First People\u2019s Undocu(Black)Ally\nstudent trainings will practice allyship through knowledge, awareness, reflection,\nand action. Undocu(Black) Ally training is an educational intervention\ndesigned to increase awareness, competency, and self-efficacy for students and\ncommunity members. These trainings are critical because any immigration\npolicies put into action disproportionality disrupt the lives of black people.\nLiving in a society rooted in the oppression and incarceration of black life,\nit\u2019s important that students have access to education on the interwoven\nsystemic policies keeping black people from existing within the U.S. borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
