I\u2019m happy to announce she will\n            nevertheless&nbsp;remain connected to us and part of our\n            community.&nbsp;Tina&nbsp;will retain a part-time advisory role in\n            the Longhouse for up to a year to help us evaluate her current\n            position&nbsp;and&nbsp;how best to fill it. Our shared goal\n            is&nbsp;to make the transition to new leadership as smooth as\n            possible, ensuring&nbsp;the work&nbsp;Tina&nbsp;has led over the\n            last 25 years continues and thrives.&nbsp;<br>\n            <br>\n            Tina\u2019s remarkable tenure at Evergreen began\n            in 1996 when she became the founding director of&nbsp;the Longhouse\n            Education and Cultural Center. Her key initiatives include the\n            expansion of the Longhouse in 2009, the development of the unique\n            Indigenous Arts Campus from 2012 to 2019, initiation of the\n            Toi&nbsp;Sgwigwialt&nbsp;international Indigenous artist exchange\n            program with the government of New Zealand, the establishment\n            of&nbsp;an&nbsp;endowed scholarship for Tribal Governance concentration\n            students in&nbsp;our MPA program, and so many other accomplishments\n            over these decades.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>\n            <br>\n            Tina\u2019s vision, wisdom and creative drive\n            have inspired all of us who know her.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>\n            <br>\n            As she engages with a new set of\n            opportunities and challenges in her cherished field of work, we\n            will&nbsp;honor&nbsp;Tina\u2019s&nbsp;accomplishments and legacy at\n            Evergreen.&nbsp;<strong>Please join us for&nbsp;a virtual\n            celebration on Friday, February 26th at 3:30 p.m.<\/strong> The event will be an opportunity to share fond\n            memories and good words as we celebrate Tina\u2019s new opportunity and\n            Laura&nbsp;VerMeulen\u2019s&nbsp;appointment as\n            acting&nbsp;managing&nbsp;director of the Longhouse.
