Provided below are informational updates on the presidential search process.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Search Advisory Committee\u2019s Report <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following nearly three months of intense work, including\nover 30 listening sessions and many interviews, the 37 members of the Search Advisory Committee<\/a> drafted\na final report <\/a>that was presented to the Presidential Search Committee on Friday, November\n13 and to the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, November 17. The final report,\nsurvey responses, and interview sessions are informing the presidential prospectus. The Search Committee will continue to\ncommunicate with the Advisory Committee while the search process continues.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presidential Search Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 12 members of the Presidential Search Committee<\/a> have now met five\ntimes.  Their work has included: reviewing their formal \u201ccharge\u201d<\/a> which was approved by the Board\nof Trustees on Monday, October 26; reading and reviewing search materials including the Advisory\nCommittee report<\/a> and various other College reports; and drafting the presidential prospectus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Presidential Prospectus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past two weeks, the presidential prospectus (comprehensive job\nannouncement) has been drafted, reviewed, and edited by\nthe Search Committee. With a goal of posting the\nposition officially in December, the final draft of the document will go to the\nBoard of Trustees for approval at tomorrow\u2019s\nspecial meeting<\/a> (December 17). Once this is complete, the presidential prospectus will be posted\non the presidential search web page<\/a> as part of the recruitment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survey Reminder and Search Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 12, we broadly shared information on\nopportunities to engage in this process, including a link to the survey<\/a> on\nthe Presidential Search web page. To date, we have received nearly 400 responses and 20-30 nominations.\nAll members of our community are encouraged to continue circulating the survey\nlink and be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to provide input (during\nweb maintenance, please direct inquiries\/input to the contact info provided\nbelow). Our consulting team has reached out to each survey respondent who has\nrequested contact. Please do not hesitate to express interest in connecting\nwith us. Your input and feedback is crucial to a successful process. We will continue\nto provide updates, via campus\nannouncements and the presidential search web page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
