As we move toward end-of-the-quarter\nevaluations and one-on-ones, Student Activities wants to provide some\ninformation that can help you advise students who bring up these topics. We are\nasking for your help in connecting students to the programs Student Activities\nprovides during a time when our regular outreach strategies are limited. All of\nthe following opportunities are open to all Evergreen students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT WE\nOFFER STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student Activities has\noptions for students to connect right now, with more coming in\nWinter Quarter. This is not an exhaustive list of opportunities available to\nstudents, just an overview of what Student Activities can offer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Student Organizations, Groups, Clubs<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Join Student Groups<\/strong> \u2013 We are about to start registering a whole new batch of student organizations that will be hungry for new members. We are not requiring 4 students to start student groups at this time \u2013 if a student is interested, please encourage them to reach out to advisors. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Support, Resources, and Tools <\/strong>\u2013 Student Activities advisors get student group leaders on the path to meet their goals with advising, tools, and resources on the fundamentals of running a student group at Evergreen and how to engage people and run events virtually.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Student Government and Leadership Positions<\/strong> \u2013 We have multiple paid leadership positions open and are actively recruiting applicants! Students can help brainstorm and put on virtual events and activities with Greeners Planning Activities (GPA)  or get into the nitty gritty of allocating student group budgets with the S&amp;A Board. You can help by recommending the positions to students and helping them navigate to CODa through <a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.evergreen.edu%2F&amp;data=04%7C01%7Chomchicr%40evergreen.edu%7Ce0f7883c330842306d5208d897c3cc65%7C22adcff7c06f49a68f2050711c40ddaa%7C0%7C0%7C637426216521698601%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&amp;sdata=qc3z7M%2F%2FjsLQPganG2EYdNliZ0XlHlcAaqkVlt7Oebk%3D&amp;reserved=0\">my.evergreen.edu<\/a>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Spirituality and Mean-Making<\/strong> \u2013 Chaplain Melissa Bennett is supporting students through questions of belonging, purpose, meaning-making, and spiritual grounding. She can assist in finding practices that help students navigate these uncertain times. Take what works and leave the rest:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Word of mouth is a strong tool<\/strong>      \u2013 if appropriate in your evaluations and one-on-ones, ask students about community connection. Highlight options above to point them in the right direction. These can be formally registered groups or informal groups looking for more support. You have content experience and we have community-building tools, administrative support, and resources for student groups. Together, we can build coordinated support for student leaders to strengthen peer communities, help plan events and activities, and provide applied learning opportunities alongside the classroom.
