Dear Faculty Colleagues:   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are happy to announce a new Faculty Foundation\ngrant opportunity<\/strong>. The Evergreen\nState College Foundation and the Academic Deans are making available an\nopportunity to apply<\/a> for a special Faculty Foundation Oral History\nProject Grant for the\nacademic year 2021-22.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evergreen Oral History Project <\/strong>has\nbeen under way for the last several years, and to date has collected some sixty\ninterviews from faculty, staff and administrators. These interviews have been\ntranscribed and archived. The collection includes people\u2019s candid memories of\nwork and life at the College, of its innovative approaches to teaching and\nlearning, and of crucial challenges, issues, events, and transformations that\nEvergreen has experienced in its first fifty years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Faculty Foundation Oral History Project Grant is\nmeant to support the publication of materials from these archives. Proposals\nfor possible publication platforms is open, but could include book draft,\npodcasts, vignettes, and\/or other possible outcomes. Grant recipients will work with Oral History interview\ntranscripts and other supporting historical documents <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two\ngrants are available for a half-time teaching reduction for two quarters in\n2021-2022 or as a full-time leave for one quarter, and compensation at the\nfaculty’s regular salary rate. Any faculty currently employed by the\ncollege (including adjuncts) are eligible to apply. Applicants should\nindicate a preference for half- or full-time reduction, and which quarters\nwould be preferred, to be negotiated with Curriculum Team.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to <\/strong>apply<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty need to complete all sections of the <\/strong>application form<\/a>.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grant application proposal consists of a 500 word proposal describing interest, relevant\nexperience and skills, a summary of the plan for carrying this project forward,\nand a brief timeline of proposed work. The grant application proposals will be\nviewed by the panel reviewing other faculty grants this year.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
