Hello Faculty,  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Fair for winter quarter is coming up quicker than\nyou might realize!  Please make sure\nyou have Wednesday, December 2nd<\/sup> from 4 to 6 pm on your calendars\nand plan to attend this important event.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you probably anticipated, the Academic Fair will once\nagain be held in a virtual\/online\/Zoom environment.  At the request of the Agenda Committee we are\ntrying a different format this quarter.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty will set up their own zoom meetings for the fair<\/strong>. Our friends in academic technologies have been nice\nenough to put together a guide to help you quickly set up your meetings with\nthe settings that are most appropriate for this type of event. See:  Schedule\na Zoom Meeting via the Web Portal<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those zoom links, as well as your fair handouts, will be\nprovided to students on a webpage. Links will also be available to the other\noffices and support services students are accustomed to finding at the fair.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Technologies will also be providing training\nsessions- details, including time and content, will be sent out via email in\nthe coming weeks.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty need to take steps 1-3 on the list below by\nWednesday, November 25th<\/sup><\/strong> (the\nday before Thanksgiving) in order to have everything in place before the fair\nthe following week. We know that one week ahead of time might seem like a lot,\nbut in reality, it is only 2.5 working days due to the holiday.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create your fair handout <\/li>
  2. Create your Zoom link.\n See:  Schedule\n a Zoom Meeting via the Web Portal<\/a> <\/li>
  3. Complete\n this form<\/a> for each offering you want to display in the online fair\n guide (if you have more than one in winter please make sure to fill it out\n for each offering).  <\/li>
  4. OPTIONAL: Come to a fair\n practice session or help session provided by our technology support\n colleagues- details coming soon <\/li>
  5. Show up to your zoom meeting\n and help students! <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    We do want to highlight with this change to a decentralized\nzoom format there will be limited ability for technology support in zoom\nmeetings on the day of. There will be support to troubleshoot widespread zoom\nissues, but this change does put the meeting management on the individual\nfaculty.  If you do encounter a zoom\nissue on the day of that makes your meeting unable to continue, please go to\nthe registration zoom meeting and let them know.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We will send another reminder and any additional details\ncloser to the event! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
