Dear Staff and Faculty,\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student\nActivities is happy to announce that Melissa Bennett has moved into a new\nposition within our office. She is now our Assistant Director of Spirituality\nand Meaning Making. Melissa has a background in Spiritual Care and Counseling\nand previously worked as a forensic mental health chaplain. In addition to her\nwork at Evergreen, she also collaborates with Faith Matters Network serving as\na community care chaplain for spiritual leaders, activists, and organizers\nacross the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melissa is\navailable to provide 1:1 spiritual care (spiritual care is for everyone –\nspiritual and non-spiritual, religious and non-religious, you can be from any\nfaith tradition or no faith tradition) and support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melissa\nprovides a confidential space for students to talk through questions of\npurpose, belonging, community, connection, grief, joy, and deepening their\nrelationships to self and others. She is here to accompany students as they\nnavigate their time at Evergreen providing advocacy, serving as a social and healing\njustice mentor, and providing resources and referrals to other well-being\nservices on campus or in the community. She can assist students in finding\npractices that help them navigate these uncertain times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
