For everyone’s awareness, the following message is going out to\nall students registered for Fall Quarter and those eligible to register. We\nhope these grants will overcome some of the persistent challenges our students\nhave had with technology and access. A second message will go out on 9\/1\nonce we have the application form ready and posted. It will be a very simple\none-page form. Funds from another source are available for students not\neligible to receive CARES Act funds. Please contact Colby Morelli or me if you\nhave any questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evergreen is making $500,000 in federal CARES Act funds now\navailable to students to support their success in a remote learning\nenvironment. You can apply for grants to purchase computers, peripherals,\nsoftware, or pay for internet access needed for school.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These Technology Support Grants will be available on a\nfirst-come-first-served basis. Students\u2019 eligibility will be based on their\nlevel of need, as determined by the FAFSA. Grants will be available to new and\ncurrent students who are enrolled and registered for Fall Quarter 2020.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you haven\u2019t done so, please register now for fall and\nsubmit an application for the Technology Support Grant! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online\ncatalog<\/a> is up-to-date for all fall courses and programs. If you need help\nchoosing a course or program please contact Academic Advising at advising@evergreen.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These cash grants will be paid by electronic deposit or\ncheck. Because these funds are specifically meant to help with additional\nexpenses related to attending college during the pandemic, the grants will not<\/strong>\nreduce any student\u2019s current financial aid package.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Financial Aid Office will begin taking applications\nnext Tuesday, September 1, with the intention of paying the first round of\ngrants one week later. Please visit Evergreen\u2019s\nfinancial aid website<\/a> on or after September 1 to apply. Students will\nreceive an email once a decision has been made about their application.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
