Dear\nFaculty Colleagues \u2013  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to those of you who attended the special faculty meeting yesterday afternoon. Fall planning is now upon us. We are asking all faculty to<\/strong> complete a webform<\/a> regarding their fall offerings before Monday, May 18, 2020.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Our goal is to gather enough information to update the Academic Catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\npreparing for fall instruction, we remain subject to guidance from Governor\nInslee. We will align the college’s operations with the phases of his\n“Safe Start” policy plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\nfall quarter 2020, we will plan our curriculum for the possibility that\nhealth conditions and Governor\u2019s orders will permit some in-person instruction.\nThis corresponds to phase 3 of the \u201cSafe Start\u201d plan. This means we are\nplanning for fall on a hybrid footing, with a mix of in-person and remote\ninstruction.<\/strong> This more complex planning task will set us up to provide\nhighly experiential learning activities if conditions permit, and allow\nus to pivot to other contingencies if they do not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our\ngoal is to amend the Academic Catalog by May 22, in order to better reflect the\nremote and in-person components of your offering prior to Academic Fair (May\n27) and Registration (June 1).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\nnoted above, we are asking faculty to fill out a webform regarding their fall\nofferings before Monday, May 18, 2020.<\/strong> The faculty program coordinator\nshould fill out this form for each offering they are planning in fall. You can\nfind the webform here: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
