Hello Wonderful\nColleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\nhope your first week went well! We miss seeing all of you dearly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media\nServices has been working to assess our ability to provide resources for our\ncampus community this spring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under\nthe guidance of the COVID-19 Planning and Response Team, their assessment of\npublic health risks, and their recommendations to senior leadership at the\nCollege, and in consultation with Media Loan staff, we will continue to honor\nthe “Stay Home Stay Safe” directive from Governor Inslee.
\n
\nFor your students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCollege has adopted guidelines for equipment circulation to students, and directed\nthat only essential remote learning tools, like webcams and Chromebooks,\ncirculate. When the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order is lifted the\nCOVID-19 Planning and Response Team will provide guidance on what might be\npossible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\nunderstand that this has implications for your curriculum. We are available via\nemail for consultations about how to think creatively about student learning\ngoals, and to envision ways of helping students reach their broader goals in\nmedia without access to specific equipment they may have hoped for. Our team\nwants to put our health, the health of our students, and your health at the\nforefront of our decision. Let us know how we can help at medialoanDL@evergreen.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\nyou Faculty:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\nyou need access to equipment to record advanced videos, audio, or shoot\nphotographs (which all smartphones do currently) to support essential teaching\nfunctions, please let us know directly by email at medialoanDL@evergreen.edu<\/a>. 
\nA few of you have asked about distributing\/delivering the equipment yourselves\nto your students. While we appreciate the gesture and the help, we won\u2019t be\nable accommodate you and your students that way (for now).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When\nthe Governor’s order changes and senior leadership gives us the green light, we\nwill do all we can to provide safe opportunities to students and faculty to use\nour modified services during the remote learning and teaching period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
