This note is particularly directed to faculty and is in lieu of the Week 10 Provost Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi all,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At yesterday\u2019s faculty meeting, we provided several important updates regarding our planning in response to Covid-19.  The first update pertains to next week:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter 2019 evaluations will be completed remotely next week, March 16 through 20, rather than in person.  <\/strong>Please let your students know how you will be conducting these conferences remotely. Faculty resources are available on the Academic Continuity<\/a> webpage stewarded by the Learning and Teaching Commons. This decision offers a means to reduce the number of students coming to campus and provides more students time away from campus before the beginning of spring quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you all know, this is an emergent situation and it is clear that we need to prepare for further impacts.  While spring break is typically a time to unplug, it is essential that we plan to deliver instruction remotely.  With this in mind, please stay \u201cplugged in\u201d over evaluation week and spring break so you are receiving updated information for the start of spring quarter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Friday, the Learning and Teaching Commons will be conducting the first of several upcoming opportunities to prepare for teaching remotely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
