Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2021 at Evergreen!
This year GAAD is Thursday, May 20th, and is celebrating its 10th year in promoting awareness and advocacy around disability and digital access.
GAAD is an opportunity for our campus community to learn about and discuss ways to ensure equitable access to digital content such as websites, online forms, Word documents, PowerPoints, PDFs, video, audio, and more, for our students, faculty, and staff with disabilities/impairments.
A guiding principle that may be of help in thinking about this work is:
Accessibility is necessary for some and benefits all.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an introduction to accessible IT training for your staff or faculty team, please contact our college’s WA State Policy 188 IT Accessibility Coordinator – Bridget Irish, firstname.lastname@example.org
