New Faculty Book Club- Portfolio Prep: Evaluating yourself and your peers

This spring the new faculty cohort will be participating in a four-part book club using, Learning that Matters: Course Design for Transformative Education. This new book, co-authored by JuliA Metzker, offers pragmatic and research-informed approaches for creating learning experiences that engage college students as active citizens. The authors intertwine critical concepts such as connected assessments, portable thinking skills, and engaging strategies with a purposeful focus on inclusivity and equity. You are invited to join the 2020-2021 new faculty cohort in this four part book club where we will draw from four chapters of the book to explore using a design approach to plan courses and programs. This book club offers the space and time to get to know our newest faculty peers while having valuable conversations about teaching and learning. The meeting dates, times and topics are outlined in the table below.
