The library is thrilled to have the opportunity to present Dirt? Book Artists, and Poets Reflect on Soil and Our Environment. Originally created for the University of Puget Sound in honor of the United Nations International 2015 Year of Soils, the exhibition features artist books and poems selected from an international call for entries. Evergreen faculty member Lucia Harrison challenged book artists and poets to make soil visible. Their work deepens our understanding of how humans think about soil and what we need to do to pass along this precious and non-renewable resource to future generations.
