Grease two round cake pans. Reserve a couple of tablespoons of the Guinness in a separate glass (don&#8217;t drink!). With a hand mixer mix all these ingredients on low for half a minute, then on medium speed for two full minutes. Pour into pans and bake for 35 minutes. Cool ten minutes then remove from pans and place on cooling racks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Frosting:<\/p>\n<p>1 8-oz package of cream cheese, softened<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 c. butter, softened<\/p>\n<p>1 t. vanilla<\/p>\n<p>2 T Guinness<\/p>\n<p>5 c. powdered sugar<\/p>\n<p>Beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and Guinness together until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually. Generously frost bottom layer of the cake, then place the top layer on the bottom one and frost ONLY THE TOP.
