3 T apricot or marmalade jam<\/p>\n
Soak the chopped dried fruit in the tea for a couple of hours, then drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, soda, and spices\u00a0first, then beat the egg with the sugar. Add the fruit and jam to the egg\/sugar mix, then gently fold in the flour mixture. Pour into a greased loaf pan (or round cake pan) and bake in preheated oven for an hour.
