This year the Symposium theme was &#8220;A Time for Gathering.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Evergreen faculty in the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/evergreen.edu\/catalog\/offering\/catastrophe-community-resilience-face-disaster-14896\">Catastrophe: Community Resilience in the Face of Disaster<\/a>&#8221; program co-hosted the Symposium with the Nisqually Tribe, as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/indigenousclimate\">Climate Change and Pacific Rim Indigenous Nations Project<\/a>. Among the speakers were <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gji4awPXc28\">Faith Spotted Eagle<\/a> <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?time_continue=14&amp;v=9KRz0PCDZJE\"><strong>Rueben George<\/strong><\/a>, key leaders of Indigenous-led alliances to stop oil pipelines.
