{"id":12,"date":"2024-05-14T18:39:19","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T18:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/giftsgarden\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2024-05-27T07:07:30","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T07:07:30","slug":"dye","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/giftsgarden\/dye\/","title":{"rendered":"Dye and Fiber Garden"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The dye and fiber garden is located between the Longhouse and the Fibre Arts building on the North side.\u00a0 There are four large circular beds featuring both native and non-native plants that produce red\/orange, yellow\/green, blue\/purple, and gray\/black dyes.\u00a0 Fiber plants grow along the northern edge of the garden.\u00a0 A large patch of stinging nettles (<em>Urtica dioica<\/em>) can be found just north of the <em>sayuyay <\/em>\u00a0beds along the seasonal creek edge.\u00a0 Two Harakeke or New Zealand Flax (<em>Phormium tenax<\/em>) are found along the center of the north edge of the garden.
