Evergreen made a memorable impact at this year\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Legislative Campus Game Night<\/span><\/b>, where faculty, students, and staff shared how game design and climate education intersect across our curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, Evergreen expanded from one table to two, allowing us to highlight a wider range of student projects, hands-on climate action games, published titles used in\u00a0<\/span>K\u201312 classrooms<\/span><\/b>, and Evergreen-produced educational materials. Our team engaged directly with Secretary of State\u00a0Steve Hobbs,<\/strong> legislative staff, community partners, and professionals across Washington\u2019s vibrant tabletop game industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Washington is considered a global center for game design, and the event brought together creators – from large studios (such as <\/span>Wizards of the Coast<\/span><\/b>) to indie developers and local alumni, including\u00a0<\/span>Ross Cowman,<\/span><\/b> business owner of <\/span>Deernicorn<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and\u00a0<\/span>president of the\u00a0<\/span><\/b>TGA<\/span><\/b><\/a>. The night sparked meaningful conversations about experiential learning, sustainability, and the ways Evergreen students are using creativity to tackle complex environmental challenges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
