I learned the metro (rail) system, been invited to the homes of two men on separate occasions (only two?), got a &#8220;booty tap&#8221; from some adolescent, went to the dentist, and walked from the Eiffel Tower to my &#8216;home&#8217; neighborhood, Gare de l&#8217;est. This city does not stop! Really. The dense neighborhoods filled with ancient architecture remind me that I am in a place where love is the oldest religion, and a little tap on the rump is an old way of complimenting another.<\/p>\n<p>The day&#8217;s jaunt cost 11 miles on my body and I feel a little sore in the calves, which I believe to be due to lack of &#8220;eau&#8221; (water). \u00a0A good lesson for the Camino! Today I rested, and lazily observed the vicinity with caffe au lait. I&#8217;m finally hooked up to a strong wifi signal, and very much look forward to FaceTime with home very soon.
