Jackson, Evan, Aaron and myself went for a short stroll up the road from our albergue and discovered an enchanted little area on a hill overlooking the city. The early sun lit up the pool of massive wild dandelions and clovers, growing up in tangles all around the old stone benches. Little white fuzzies were floating around everywhere and I couldn’t tell if they were seeds or bugs. We all crowded around the one bench under a sunny spotlight through a clearing in the trees overhead. Evan utilized his EMT skills and wrapped the bandage around my swollen ankle.<\/p>\n
I pluck a dandelion from the ground and hold it in front my face, ready to blow, birthday cake style. One of the boys informs me that it’s actually illegal to spread dandelion seeds in Spain and that I could face fines up to one hundred euros. I decide to take my chance.<\/p>\n
The next morning after they’ve all departed, I revisit the enchanted little spot and find that its foliage has been mowed to the ground.<\/p>\n
