Aruza
I made soup.
It involved lots and lots of vegtables.
Only two days left until Santiago, which I cannot believe.
Exceptional days walking with Michele, Izzy, Cooper, and Sam.

Today I walked with a reoccurring feeling. Not ‘out-of-body’ per Se, but really like my body just walks without stopping and eventually I’ll stop because I’m hungry. Even then, sometimes I don’t stop.
A beautiful, warm day to walk the final 20 km into Santiago. Met Michaele, a woman from Sweden walking from Leon. Met her at the first corner in Pedrouzo and we walked into the Plaza Obrodoiro together. An emotional arrival for both, of course, and we stretched out in the sun and greeted Camino friends as they came in. Went to the Pilgrim Office to receive the compostelas after which Michaela wanted nothing but a large beer. Wandered into a pub and found two of her Camino buddies. Two large beers and a good sized lunch later, her friend who had just sold his company and is heading for retirement paid our bill and we went to find our places for the evening. A fine ending, with lots and lots of laughter, to this part of the walk.
Tomorrow, probably, off to Ourense for a few more days walking.
Long hot walk today. Tracie is making soup. I’m pumped.
last 30k day. The road is crowded as shit.
Split up with the group today, just me and Amber again on a nice relaxing walk from Portomarín to Palas de Rei
So Sarria but I will not miss it. I am off to a train to Lugo. I will finish this thing by myself, in solitude with many new friends and memories made. I hope to see many faces when I get back to Santiago.

Today was the best day ever!! The landscape was so beautiful. It is safe to say, that my feet won’t stop walking even if I wanted them too. 105 KM in three days! 215 till Santiago.
After waking up at 5 a.m and leaving by 5:30 to watch sunrise at Cruz de Ferro, we continued to climb through the Cantabric mountains to one of the highest points more than 1500 M up from the ground.
The snowy mountains to the left and the small towns and villages peeking at us when we finally get over a large hump. The highlight of the day was my friend Freddy and I, running down the opposite down of the mountain over rocks, running water, and lots of mud. The sun continues and the days are filled with brightness.
Buen camino
the cowboy bar was closed
but our beds came with comforters, so I left my sleeping bag in my pack. Lovely.
