Barcelona is amazing! I was able to speak to many people about the government today, who were split on many issues, but a large one being preservation of certain cultures verse expansion of common Spanish and national. Catalunya as many of you know has been trying to gain independence from Spain. My new friend Marie tells me that Catalan is spoken here so often in attempts to preserve it because when Franco ruled he told them they could only speak Spanish!

Mikinzie keeps spilling here sangria on me, on the table, or on herself! I see why they don’t let you drink till your 21.

As Barcelona has been amazing and restful, we are ready to leave to France to conquer the Pyrenes! Happy to see all the greenery together in Phil’s snap chat! Hope we can run as fast as we can and catch up!

buen Camino

After a day of rough and tedious traveling, finally landing in Barcelona was a dream! The Mediterranean was glowing blue from the plane and the air smells wonderful!!! Me and Mikinzie are taking a few planning/ preparation days as we roam the streets of Barcelona with huge smiles. I found myself at At. Madrid verse Barcelona tonight after spending a pretty penny on a ticket and it was epic!!!!! I’ll post a picture for everyone to see. It was incredible. The crowd roared like nothing I have ever heard and the unity futbol brings among people here is beautiful.

The Spainiards helped me find my way home from the stadium after being serve my lost for about 45 minutes. My Spanish has already improved and me and Kinzie look forward to starting the Pyrenes on Friday. Love and prayers to you all!! Bien Camino.
