Thank you all for a week of fantastic readings! Please review these plays one more time during the Thanksgiving break and vote for 10-16 plays, using the ballots below. Although the ballots are divided by seminar, your choices need not be evenly distributed between two seminars.

On your ballot, please also note the reasons of your choices. Bring your votes to class on Monday morning, Nov. 28. While you are seminaring on Joy Luck Club, faculty will put together a final play list utilizing the results of your collective voting.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!

Character Development Performance Project Groups

Here is the list of 16 performance groups, put together with the help of Amanda Brian:

I am from performance groups

Please follow Stephanie’s suggestion: The author of each “I Am From Character Sketch” should make copies of his/her/their work for the group members, so the group can have a good thorough study of the original piece together. The thorough study of the original piece should precede any steps of dramatic improvisation and collaboration.

Every member of the group has to individually submit the final script to the assignment page titled “Character Development Group Script.” Failure to do so will be considered a missing assignment for the final evaluation.

For Tomorrow: Thursday

Please remember that tomorrow morning we will begin with Amy Greene presenting a workshop on the technical work of uploading and responding to the writing of others for the Dramatic Writing Project.  Bring your laptops for convenience, but Chromebooks will be available for those without a laptop.

Some of you have already uploaded your writing “First Story” for this week, great.  The “First Story” Writing Assignment must be submitted online by Friday 5pm

Also BRING your book Telling Tales (Lane), needed for another program activity in the morning.
