Following her doctorate in music composition and ethnomusicology at the University of Illinois, and a Mellon Fellowship in music at Cornell University, her work with sound shifted, focusing for the next decade on applications of audio technology to the analysis of whale sounds at Cornell\u2019s Lab of Ornithology.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsequently, as a 2015-16 US-UK Fulbright Researcher at the University of York, she worked on music and bioacoustics projects and developed interests in American philosophy. Linking this philosophical inquiry to music led to her recent presentation\u00a0at the Women in Pragmatism International Conference (Barcelona), and to her\u00a0participation as co-convener and presenter at the Experience :: Music :: Experiment\u00a0events sponsored by the Orpheus Institute, Ghent, Belgium.
