He began the Magic Lantern screening series in Providence, Rhode Island, was co-director of the artist-run space BEN RUSSELL in Chicago, IL, has toured worldwide with film\/ video\/ performance programs and was named by Cinemascope in 2012 as one of the \u201c50 Best Filmmakers Under 50.\u201d &nbsp;Ben lives between Los Angeles and Paris, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ben\u2019s most recent, co-directed feature \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aspelltowardoffthedarkness.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A SPELL TO WARD OFF THE DARKNESS&nbsp;<\/a>\u2013 is screening on Friday, November&nbsp;14th at the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/olympiafilmsociety.org\/olympia-film-festival\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Olympia Film Festival<\/a>&nbsp;in downtown Olympia, at 4:45 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Evergreen Art Lecture Series - Ben Russell\" width=\"676\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dysARXlSpFs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
